'Scenic Disorder' draws attention to the gap between the right to speak and the people’s power to influence policies governing land use, environmental protection, and resource management.

Eko Nugroho translates this issue through a graphic language developed from comics and street visual culture. He speaks through imaginary, masked figures with monstrous bodies—sometimes resembling aliens—representing a sense of alienation and critical voices marginalized by the dominant order.

'Scenic Disorder' questions how political power, collective responsibility, and individual initiatives are distributed in the production of a shared future.
